With structural changes made by Major League Baseball to the Minor League system recently, the lease agreement between the City and Main Street Iowa, LLC needed to be modified to reflect the current landscape of professional baseball. Both parties have also taken this opportunity to modernize the agreement and incorporate several separate amendments into a single document. Council approval of the lease agreement will ensure that the City and Main Street Iowa continue to provide high quality professional baseball at a public facility that is nationally recognized as one of the best ballparks in the Minor League system.
