April 27, 2021 - Beginning today, April 27, 2021, the City of Davenport Transit Division is offering free rides to the Genesis COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic being held at the former Dick’s Sporting Goods Store located at 5250 Elmore Avenue, Davenport.  According to the Genesis Health website, the clinic is accepting walk-ins on Tuesday, April 27 and Thursday, April 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. but appointments are also being taken.

Davenport Transit Operations Manager, Marla Miller, is excited to be able to offer this service to the community.  “We encourage interested individuals to visit the TransLoc website at https://davenportcitibus.transloc.com/ for transit routes that connect to the Elmore Avenue shopping corridor.  This is not an on-demand service but a free fare service to encourage anyone who does not have access to transportation to take advantage of the availability of the vaccination and the free ride.  Get on the Davenport Citibus, state that your destination is the COVID-19 Vaccination Center on Elmore Avenue, and your fare is free during this time period.”
