The Board is composed of three or five members from various areas of the assessing jurisdiction and operates independently of the Assessor's Office. The Board of Review has the power to confirm or to adjust either upward or downward any assessment.

Board of Review members serve staggered six year terms. Members of the Board of Review including occupation and service term end date:

  • Sean Eckhardt (Realtor) 1/1/2016 thru 12/31/2021
  • Stacey Brockett (Architect) 1/1/2019 thru 12/31/2024
  • John Martin (Attorney) 1/1/2018 thru 12/31/2023
  • Chuck Messmer Jr. (Appraiser) 1/1/2015 thru 12/31/2020
  • Rebecca Schabilion (Property  Manager) 1/1/2-14 thru 12/31/2019

The Board of Review hearing dates are May 1 - May 31 to review petitions filed April 2 - April 30.

FILING PERIOD FOR PETITIONING THE BOARD OF REVIEW HAS BEEN EXTENDED

 UNTIL JUNE 5, 2019

On May 11, 2019, Scott County, which includes the City of Davenport, was declared a federal disaster by the Federal Government. 

This declaration extends the filing period for petitioning the Board of Review to June 5th. 

The extension is provided to allow citizens impacted by the flood more time to petition for the 2019 assessment, not for damage done by the 2019 flood.
