The Eastern Iowa Industrial Center (EIIC) is home to businesses such as Kraft Heniz Foods, Sterilite Corporation and John Deere. The John Blong Technology Center, operated by the Eastern Iowa Community College, is a premiere workforce development asset located in the EIIC and assists companies with workforce and technology training needs. The EIIC boasts the area's only multi-modal transload facility operated by Savage Services. This service allows your company to access to cost competitive rail and transportation options, regardless of where you choose to locate your business in Davenport.

Savage Services
In 2017, Savage Services began operating the Trans Load Facility (TLF) located in the Eastern Iowa Industrial Center. The new Savage TLF offers customers access to bulk material handling and rail transloading services in an ideal location for rail access, provided by a safe, experienced company.

The Savage TLF has direct access to the CP Class 1 rail line, over 20 railcar spots and 20,000 square feet of indoor warehousing with indoor railcar and truck loading/unloading. Savage’s transload services include the handling, loading and distribution of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

Transloading is a cost-effective and environmentally friendly method to realize the benefits of rail freight without onsite rail access. Savage has extensive experience transloading, managing logistics and operating rail terminals that handle multiple commodities throughout the United States and Canada. Savage specializes in safely handling a diverse range of chemicals, resins, fuels, food-grade products and industrial commodities.
