There is an outage affecting the usage of landline phones across the state of Iowa. City of Davenport phone lines are also experiencing an outage involving both incoming and outgoing calls via cell phone and landline. At this time, there is not an estimated time of restoration for either the state or Davenport.
If you need immediate assistance from police, fire or Medic EMS, contact 911 using a cellular phone. Residents are asked NOT to test calling 911 on their landline or cell phone. Only call 911 if there is an emergency. Test calls, in large volumes, may delay dispatchers from helping a resident who is calling 911 with an emergency need. ยป There have been no problems receiving 911 calls from cell phones. The problem calling 911 is limited to landlines.
